Leading Asian Law Scholarly Organizations Honor CEALS Senior Director Setsuo Miyazawa

The Asian Law & Society Association (ALSA), the Japanese Association of the Sociology of Law (JASL), and CRN33 of the Law & Society Association jointly organized a panel to celebrate CEALS Senior Director Setsuo Miyazawa.  Professor Miyazawa was the recipient of both the Stan Wheeler Mentorship Award and the Legacy Award from the Law & Society Association (LSA) in 2021.  His recent publications include Access to Justice and Lawyer Independence in Japan (co-authored with Hiroshi Otsuka) and The Role of Lawyers in Access to Justice: Asian and Comparative Perspectives. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Journal of Law and Society and currently serves as Secretary General of the President of the Asian Criminological Society.
