Statement of Non-Discrimination
The University of California College of the Law, San Francisco prohibits discrimination against any person on the basis of the following protected categories: age, ancestry, childbirth or related medical condition, citizenship, color, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, gender transition status, genetic information (including family medical history), marital status, military or veteran status, medical condition (e.g., cancer-related or genetic characteristics), national origin, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, race, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, sex- or gender-stereotyping, or any combination of these or related factors. This policy is intended to be consistent with applicable state and federal laws and the law school’s policies.
Every person at UC Law SF has the right to pursue an academic or professional career in an atmosphere that is safe and free from prohibited acts of discrimination, harassment, or violence, including sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, intimate-partner violence, stalking, sexual coercion, or other forms of sexual violence. Bigotry, harassment, or intimidation is particularly insidious when directed at a member or group of the UC Law SF community on the basis of actual or perceived participation in a protected category; and, to the degree it constitutes prohibited bias activity, such conduct will also not be tolerated. UC Law SF complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as applicable state and local laws. Standards for Timing of Offers and Decisions
For the 2024 Summer OCI Program, participating employers should leave offers open for at least 14 days following the last day of our Summer OCI Program, or 14 days from the date of the offer letter, whichever is later.
Offers made through the Pre-Summer OCI Program should be kept open for 14 days from the date of the offer. Offers made outside of our Pre-Summer OCI Program should be kept open for 14 days after the last day of our Summer OCI Program.
Job Posting Standards
UC Law SF reserves the right to edit job postings without notice to meet guidelines or to remove inappropriate questions and/or language. The law school reserves the right to remove a job posting for any reason and without notice.
The law school cannot make an assessment of whether unpaid positions posted comply with Federal and State wage and hour requirements to be true trainee positions. Employers are requested to provide timely responses to applicants regarding the receipt of their application materials and their candidacy status.
Reciprocity
The Career Development Office of UC Law San Francisco will provide reasonable access to resources for alumni of law schools outside of the San Francisco Bay Area per the following policy:

- 1. Reciprocity is available to alumni of those ABA-accredited law schools that allow UC Law SF alumni to use their facilities. Reciprocity is granted on a one-for-one basis and lasts for three months or until July 15, whichever comes first. (Please note that we are not able to approve all requests.)

- 2. Reciprocity services include only remote access* to the online job board. Counseling, student jobs, and participation in on-campus interviews (aka OCIs) are not included.
*Remote access to the online job board (via 12Twenty) is possible if the requesting school will offer the same to UC Law SF alumni. Access is also “browse-only” (i.e., documents cannot be uploaded to 12Twenty).

- 3. When applying for jobs, all grantees are required to include in their cover letter that they have online access to the UC Law SF 12Twenty job board via Reciprocity.

- 4. Requests for reciprocity must be made in writing via email to reciprocity@uclawsf.edu by a career services official from the home law school and should indicate the alum’s name, email address, phone number, and grad year. Approval for reciprocity must be granted in writing from the Career Development Office at UC Law SF; NO drop-in visits.

- 5. RECIPROCITY IS CLOSED from May 15 through November 15 each year due to the recruiting season.
