- The fully online mode allows students to choose to complete their studies entirely synchronously, entirely asynchronously, or a combination of both.
- The hybrid-flexible mode combines the advantages of online and in-person classes and allows for more tailoring of coursework. All specializations can be pursued through the hybrid-flexible mode.
Both learning modes can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis, leading to degree completion in one to four years.

Application Fee Waiver for Military & Veterans – To honor your service, we waive the application fee for all veterans and active duty military personnel. Simply contact us before submitting your application to receive a waiver. Email our admissions team at msl@uclawsf.edu.

Unlike degree programs like the MBA, there is no universally standardized name for master’s degree programs in law. However, programs with titles such as Master of Studies in Law (MSL), Master of Legal Studies (MLS), Master of Jurisprudence (M.Jur.), and Juris Master (JM) generally offer similar opportunities. They are designed for professionals working in fields related to law who wish to gain a deeper understanding of legal concepts and principles at a master’s level without earning a full law degree (J.D.).
