Bio
Alex Montague, J.D., is a Graduate Research Fellow for The Source on Healthcare Price and Competition. She currently works on the Database of State Laws Impacting Healthcare Cost and Quality (SLIHCQ) and conducts research regarding antitrust enforcement and state regulation of provider contracts. Alex graduated from UC Law SF in 2019 with a concentration in Law and Health Sciences. At UC Law SF, she was the Executive Supervising Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and a Research Assistant for Professor Jaime King. As a Research Assistant, Alex assisted Professor King with the research on health care economics, supply and demand side legislative tools for health care reform, the Affordable Care Act, and cross-market mergers. Alex received a CALI Award for Academic Excellence in the Health Law Concentration Seminar for her paper on the First Amendment in health care. Prior to law school Alex worked for the Blue Mountain Action Council in Washington as a Pro Bono Legal Advocate and an Americorps Member. Alex earned her BA from Whitman College where she majored in Politics and Environmental Studies.
