Bio
Angie Gius joined UC Law SF’s Legal Research and Writing faculty following three years as a professor in the first-year Lawyering Program at New York University School of Law. Previously, Angie was a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Federal Legislation Clinic at Georgetown Law, where her students represented non-profit organizations through policy and legislative advocacy. Angie has also served as a law clerk in the Eastern District of New York and worked as an outreach worker and paralegal with Georgia Legal Services Program’s Farmworker Division. She received her B.A. from Marquette University and her J.D. from NYU, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar.
Angie’s community work involves critical pedagogy, creative collective action, and contemplative practices. Her most recent work has focused on sharing restorative processes and Theatre of the Oppressed techniques with law students, lawyers, and children.
