Bio
Adjunct Professor Beth A. Ross is a Bay Area Labor and Employment attorney who has represents unrepresented working people as well as public and private section labor Unions across a wide variety of industries over the last 30 years. She was a partner and associate in the firm Leonard Carder LLP between 1990 and 2019 where she handled litigation cases and appeals in labor and employment cases before state and federal courts – with specialization in wage and hour and independent contractor misclassification class actions — as well as administrative proceedings before wide variety of administrative agencies including the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Prior to joining Leonard Carder, Ross was a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence K. Karlton in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California. She is an elected fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation and has served on the Board of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee. She received her BA in Letters from Wesleyan University and her JD from the Law School at University of California, Berkeley.
