Denise Yates
Adjunct Professor
Bio
Denise Yates has been a Deputy Attorney General for over twenty years, defending state agencies, prison staff, and the Governor from lawsuits filed by prisoners. Before that, she worked as a Deputy District Attorney, she was a fellow with the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation, and she clerked for a federal judge in Las Vegas. Denise loves teaching LW&R and Moot Court at Hastings. She is a Northern California native, a UC Irvine alum (go Anteaters!), and a frequent traveler. She can be found on most weekends playing golf, gardening, or enjoying a shoreline walk with her Lhasa Apso, Auggie.
