Bio

Elizabeth Peters is the Medical-Legal Partnership Attorney with the UCSF/UC Law SF Consortium on Law, Science & Health Policy. She is currently working on Dementia Care Aware to help develop a statewide medical-legal learning collaborative in California. Elizabeth also works with clients in the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors Clinic, providing free legal services to low-income older adults in San Francisco, and provides trainings to providers and community groups on advance planning.  

Prior to joining the Consortium, she worked as a Bridge Fellow with the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors at UC Law SF and as an LSFN Fellow with Legal Assistance to the Elderly in San Francisco.  

Elizabeth graduated from UC Law San Francisco in 2021 with a concentration in Health Law. Elizabeth earned her Master of Public Health in Health and Social Behavior from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and her BA in Anthropology and International and Area Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.  Prior to graduate school she worked as a Reproductive Health Specialist at Planned Parenthood Northern California. Elizabeth is passionate about the intersection of law and health and the role attorneys and legal services have in addressing social determinants of health and health disparities.
