Bio
Kyle is an associate at Phillips, Erlewine, Given & Carlin LLP, a boutique law firm headquartered in the Presidio of San Francisco with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. Kyle’s trial and appellate practice focuses on employment, civil rights, entertainment, and intellectual property matters, where he is privileged to represent diverse clients ranging from minimum wage employees to internationally acclaimed artists and musicians.
Kyle grew up in Bakersfield, California and studied English at Stanford (’13) and law at the University of Virginia (’19). While at UVA, Kyle was honoured to serve as a Senior Dillard Writing Fellow, where he helped 1Ls tackle the challenges and peculiarities of LRW. Outside of his law practice, Kyle is passionate about public service. He is a member of the California Lawyers Association’s DEI Committee and a Commissioner on the Oakland Mayor’s Commission on Persons with Disabilities. Kyle lives in downtown Oakland with his husband, an artist and activist. In his free time, he can be found painting, exploring nature, seeing live music, and spoiling his niblings.
