Bio
Laurel O’Connor is in-house counsel for Lyft’s Litigation and Risk Team. She oversees a high-volume national litigation portfolio. In her practice, she navigates the ever-changing landscape of rideshare regulations and the evolving space occupied by Transportation Network Companies in tort litigation. Prior to Lyft, Laurel spent over six years litigating on behalf of public agencies in matters ranging from high-value personal injury matters and contract disputes to constitutional class actions.
Laurel graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2015. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs (Judy and Teddy), chickens, and gardening. She also recently took up sewing. Despite her highly domestic hobbies, she does not consider herself a homesteader. Laurel and her husband are also avid international travelers, aiming to discover the world’s delicious cuisine.
