Bio
Laurence A. Blau is certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He operates a private law practice in downtown San Francisco.
Laurence is an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Francisco School of Law in the LLM program and the University of California Hastings College of Law. He was on the faculty of San Francisco City College for 16 years teaching estate planning and estate administration. He has also taught an estate planning class at San Francisco Law School. He has published various articles, including co-authoring an article in the California Tax Lawyer on the Effect of Tax Changes on Subchapter S Corporations. He has published a textbook entitled “Fundamentals of California Estate Planning and Estate Administration”. He is a regular panelist for numerous organizations conducting seminars throughout the state on various estate planning topics.
Laurence is a San Francisco native, who graduated with distinction in his major from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida College of Law.
