Bio
Adjunct Professor Meredith Osborn is the Chief Trial Deputy for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office. She spent the previous five years as a federal prosecutor in San Francisco, where she was assigned to the Organized Crime Strike Force. She has handled cases involving racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit murder, money laundering, firearms possession, and drug distribution. For two years she served in the office’s Appellate Division, writing briefs and arguing cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Professor Osborn was one of the founding members of the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and served as an enforcement attorney in the agency. She began her career as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.
Professor Osborn clerked for Judge John T. Noonan on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. She is also a graduate of Harvard College (A.B.) and the University of Edinburgh (M.Sc.).
Professor Osborn grew up in San Francisco, and is proud to be raising her three daughters in her hometown.
