Bio
Nicholas Hunt received his B.A. in Political Science from American University and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Mr. Hunt is an Assistant District Attorney in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, assigned to the Writs and Appeals Unit. In that role, Mr. Hunt litigates serious and complex cases before the Court of Appeal, First Appellate District and Appellate Division of the San Francisco Superior Court. Mr. Hunt also litigates dispositive pre-trial motions in felony cases before the San Francisco Superior Court.
Before joining the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Hunt was a graduate research fellow with the Hastings Appellate Project, representing a certiorari-stage client before the Supreme Court of the United States and clients before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Hunt began his professional career in Washington, D.C. as a civilian staff member within the Policy division of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as an intern with the United States House of Representatives Committee on Armed Services.
