Bio

Prof. Elizondo recently retired after 33 years as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, providing advice on a wide range of government law matters. During her tenure, she served as general counsel to many City departments and agencies, including Homelessness and Supportive Housing, Public Health, San Francisco General Hospital, Jail Health, Community Behavioral Health Services, Recreation and Parks, the Entertainment Commission, the Asian Art and de Young Museums, and the Human Services Agency. She has extensive experience with state and federal regulatory compliance, privacy laws, implementation of health care and human services reform programs, relations with other government agencies, capital projects, public contracting, ethics and governance issues, and state and City open meeting and public records laws. She drafted policies, regulations, legislation, contracts, and leases. She graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz in 1977, and from UC Law SF in 1981.
