The Peter K. Maier Scholarship Fund
The Peter K. Maier Scholarship Fund was generously funded by Cliff Jernigan ’68 and the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group. This fund awards one or more $5,000 scholarships to 3L tax concentrators with financial need who demonstrate promise for an exceptional career in tax law. This fund honors Peter K. Maier, an influential teacher, scholar, and colleague who taught at UC Law SF from 1967 to 1995.
Students must apply for this scholarship by emailing tax@uclawsf.edu with the following information: (a) post-grad job plans and starting salary, (b) total student debt outstanding, (c) C.V. and law school transcript (with spring 3L grades if available) and (d) anything else you think relevant. Because financial need is a component of the award criteria, the process for awarding this scholarship will involve getting information from the Financial Aid Office about each applicant’s financial need. The deadline to apply is May 1 (but early applications are welcome).
